The role
Responsible for the planning of outgoing company products primarily liaising with customers and other operational departments. Delivering high levels of customers service is essential at all times to meet deadlines and targets.
Position Title: Logistics Coordinator
Location: Wolverhampton (Site based)
Working Hours:
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 5:00pm, with flexibility to work additional hours as required by the company to fulfil the role.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the logistics function of the company effectively and delegating tasks where required
- Liaising with sales, order processing, planning and the warehouse to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers
- Liaising with hauliers by booking and rearranging the vehicles to suit customers in a timely and cost-effective way
- Creating transport and picking lists daily working to timelines, whilst communicating any changes to relevant staff
- Allocation of stock for picking process where necessary
- Issuing despatch paperwork to drivers
- Liaising with the customer goods in function
- Ensuring PODs are obtained in a timely manner
- Liaising with SOP to reflect any transport costs in invoices where required
- Providing KPI’s based on delivery performance to Management
- Management of haulier performance and control of transport costs
- Dealing with complaints effectively
- Ensuring all systems are up to date and accurate
- Supporting and assisting with various projects as and when required by the company
- Ensuring KPI delivery performance is a minimum of 95%
- Having familiarity and full awareness of the entire commercial internal process, from order received through to despatch of goods
- Having the ability to support and cover other functions and roles within the Supply Chain Team

Experience and skills required
- Previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
- The ability to proactively make decisions to ensure the customers’ expectations are constantly met.
- Advanced Excel skills – Being able to manipulate data to present performance related reports.
