The role
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading our quality assurance protocols, standards and procedures for our manufacturing locations. Your efforts will support compliance, operational excellence, enhanced productivity and alignment to organizational goals.
As an Quality Assurance Manager at IPL you will:
Quality Assurance and Control
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols, standards, and procedures for manufacturing operations.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and quality systems across all facilities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Analyze quality data and manufacturing metrics to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing quality trends and metrics to inform key stakeholders.
- Investigate product defects and initiate corrective actions to maintain product integrity.
Collaboration and Support
- Function as a liaison between the manufacturing facilities and corporate quality teams, effectively communicating quality standards and expectations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to facility quality teams regarding quality issues, process improvements, and best practices.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to address quality concerns and develop solutions.
Documentation Control
- Establish and maintain a document control system for quality documentation, ensuring that all standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials are up-to-date, accessible, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Training and Development
- Develop and deliver training programs for facility staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality improvement tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance management, in the plastics industry or related industry a plus.
- Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance standards and methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using established methodologies (LSS, etc.)
- Proficiency in quality testing tools and software for data analysis and reporting.
- Able to travel to WA and CA to assist our sites with their QA needs.
- Proven experience leading quality teams and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience leading audits (Customer & Regulatory)
