The role
The Integration Project Manager is a full-time, clearly defined owner responsible for the management of the entire integration project between IPL and Schoeller Allibert. This role involves strategic leadership and oversight to ensure alignment with overall integration objectives and timelines, focusing on the seamless integration of both organizations while maximizing value capture and business continuity.
Key responsibilities:
- Leadership and Oversight: Provide strategic leadership for the entire integration program, ensuring alignment with overall integration objectives and timelines. Inspire and engage personnel across all levels to foster enthusiasm and commitment to the integration process.
- Best Practices and Standards: Operate as a trusted advisor with a deep understanding of both organizations’ operations. Promote the adoption of best practices and ensure consistency and efficiency throughout the entire program.
- Discovery Analysis: Perform a detailed analysis of existing processes, systems, and resources across both organizations to identify potential synergies and areas for improvement that will inform project planning and execution.
- Day 100 Readiness: Build upon the Day 1 requirements, creating a detailed readiness plan to ensure all necessary resources required to achieve integration goals across all functions.
- Integration Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan that outlines key milestones, deliverables, and the resources required to achieve integration goals across all functions.
- Change Impact Assessment: Evaluate the potential impacts of integration activities on workflows and processes, and develop mitigation strategies to address any disruptions that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders across both organizations to understand integration requirements and gather feedback to continuously refine and improve plans and proposals.
- Resource Management: Manage the allocation of project resources, including personnel and budget, to ensure effective support for all integration activities.
- Synergy Activation and Reporting: Support with synergy tracking and validation across procurement, SG&A rationalization and portfolio footprint optimization.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify project risks and issues, developing strategies to mitigate them or escalating to senior management as necessary to ensure project continuity.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of all project-related findings, plans, and decisions, providing regular status updates to senior management on project progress, challenges, and readiness.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate success of the integration program, reporting progress to senior management.
Ideal candidate profile:
- In-depth experience in the global sustainable rigid plastics business with excellent knowledge across all business functions.
- Proven ability to manage and deliver large-scale projects, with a focus on results and meeting milestones.
- Comfortable operating in an autonomous environment, making tough decisions, and encouraging calculated risk-taking.
- Capable of thriving under pressure and demonstrating resilience and a consistent leadership style.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships quickly at all levels and sensitive to people issues.
- Political acumen and the ability to challenge constructively, while being aware of personal shortcomings and building a complementary team.
