The role

Job title: Goods Inwards Co-ordinator

Department: Logistics/Supply Chain

Purpose of position

As a Goods Inwards Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all Raw Materials and consumables delivered to the Production Facility are booked in and stored accurately and efficiently. Ensuring Raw Materials and consumables are available to support production at all times is pivotal to the role.

Overview of Key Duties:

• Booking in delivery slots with transport companies as required

• Check paperwork tallies and book qty’s into IFS

• Print Labels for products received and attach to products

• Report delivery discrepancies to Supply Chain

• Scan, File and Save Delivery notes in accordance with Finance requirements -

• Keep delivery records in line with ISO 9001 and other company audit requirements 

• Maintain all production & maintenance consumable items with regular stock checks / Kanban checks

• Raise any concerns with quality of deliveries with purchasing dept

• Maintain all waste management visits and records Skips & JJ/Brightgreen

• Order, track and maintain tracker for PPE for employees

• Ensure various Pallets are available to support production

• Arrange Samples for Shipment as required to include any documentation

• Interrogate invoice queries and seek resolution

• Cromwell Vending Machine PO replenishment weekly PO to replenish & reviews with Supplier

• Ordering of water bottles / collection of empties

• Support as required, raising of POs for Maintenance, Toolroom. QA, H&S and Logistics / Warehouse

• Maintenance & tooling PO booking in

• Resolve any issues with Scan Guns

• Cycle Counting Factory Materials in line with requirements quarterly

• An understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

What you will bring to the role:

About You

• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Computer software skills—ability to proficiently use standard business software packages with an emphasis on MS Office (Email, Word, Excel)
• Effective verbal and written communications.
• 2 years experience of working in a Warehouse / Goods Receiving role
• Methodical, patience, and persistence are also key attributes to this position.
• Problem solving skills – ability to use initiative to provide solutions to training/production issues.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Computer skills
• FLT licence
• Experience of operating in a similar role
