As a Quality Supervisor at IPL you will:
- Responsible for Quality Management System, SQF Food Safety System compliance by managing the site policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices, to assure the company of continuous conformance with appropriate standards and regulations.
- Responsible for supervising the Food Safety Program.
- Oversees functions of Quality Auditor Team members, ensuring conformance of activities to Quality Food Safety System procedures and instructions along with departmental instructions and housekeeping activities.
- Works to promote the Food Safety culture: Develops and maintains employee Food Safety communications with the workforce by displaying quality reports and other pertinent SQF information on communication boards.
- Gathers information, conducts investigations, and collaborates with other departments to resolve quality complaints from customers under guidance of Plant Manager. Communicates customer concerns to Management and to the Shop Floor. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Oversees daily Food Safety Operations and Requirements and reports accordingly to the Plant Manager.
- Compiles statistical data and writes reports summarizing findings. Prepares and distributes reports on customer complaints, investigations, and other Quality, Food Safety KPIs.
- Maintain a schedule of internal GMP, SQF audits, lead, or support execution of internal audits, tracking findings.
- Works with Plant Manager to analyze monthly audit results and create an action plan to resolve identified issues promptly. Follows up as necessary to insure completion.
- Serving as the Document Control Manager and managing site documents, records, forms, and work instructions that are vital to maintaining our SQF compliance program.
- Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
- Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures. Develops and enforces good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems; validating processes; providing documentation; managing staff.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
- Responsible for incoming raw material inspection and testing, record retention and disposition. Reports raw material and product quality issues to management, and documents corrective actions. Receive and maintain the COA for all incoming materials, comparing product to listed specifications.
- Engage with Operations to prevent and resolve any quality issues or food safety issues on the production floor. Works closely with all departments to ensure their support and compliance with the Food Safety programs.
- Responsible for initiating containments of suspect products or non-conforming products, coordinating sort and rework activities and final disposition of product following departmental or Quality System instructions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
