Role Overview
The Group Business Intelligence Manager plays a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across international operations. This role leads the design and execution of scalable BI solutions that unify disparate data sources, harmonize reporting frameworks, and deliver actionable insights to senior leader-ship.
By aligning business intelligence with post-merger objectives, the manager ensures seamless integration of systems, processes, and performance metrics, enabling the organization to realize synergies and accelerate value creation. With a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and cross-functional leadership, the Global BI Manager acts as a key enabler of transformation, supporting global growth and operational excellence.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI business intelligence solutions including dashboards, reports, and data models that support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements and translate them into technical BI deliverables.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of data used in BI reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain automated data workflows and reporting processes using Power Platform tools such as Power Automate.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics aligned with business objectives, presenting insights through highly visual, user-friendly dashboards.
• Manage and mentor the BI team, fostering technical skills in Power BI and analytics methodology.
• Communicate complex data insights and technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences including senior leadership.
• Stay current with Power BI enhancements and BI industry developments to continually improve BI delivery.
• Manage multiple BI projects and prioritise activities to meet deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
• Support data governance, compliance, and data quality initiatives relevant to business intelligence alongside the Master Data Team
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5+ years in a leadership or managerial role, ideally in a global or multi-regional context
• The role requires a combination of technical proficiency in Power BI, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills to drive data-informed decision-making.
• Strong understanding of product and business analytics metrics (e.g., retention, conversion, engagement, churn) and ability to translate them into actionable insights.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL)
• Comprehensive experience across the Microsoft data stack, including SQL Server, Azure Data Fac-tory, Synapse, and Power BI, delivering robust solutions from database architecture to interactive reporting.
• Experience with Power BI Desktop, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling is essential.
• Familiarity with Power Platform automation tools such as Power Automate is highly desirable.
• Ability to think strategically and solve complex business problems using data.
• Ability to work alongside training team to develop and implement user training programs to drive adoption of BI tools, encourage data literacy, and gather actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with international teams to address regional reporting needs, manage currency conversions, and ensure compliance with local data requirements.
• Proven leadership capability in building and developing BI teams.
• Experience communicating analytics insights to diverse, non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects, prioritising tasks, and aligning BI initiatives to business goals.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving business and technology landscapes.
• ERP system experience (IFS advantageous but not essential).
• Ability to travel as required.
