On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the ‘company’). The Company’s operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants). The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The role
We are seeking a commercially minded and transformation-driven Global Reward Director to lead the design, execution, and governance of total rewards programs across a global plastics packaging organization. This role is critical in supporting post-merger integration, driving simplification and standardization of reward practices, and ensuring operational excellence in compensation and benefits delivery. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in global reward strategy, strong change management capabilities, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders across complex, matrixed environments.
- Drive the harmonization of reward structures, policies and systems across legacy and acquired businesses
- Design and implement reward programs with the broader business strategy to support cultural, behavioural and operational alignment and enable company competitiveness and performance
- Ensure compliance, consistency and fairness in reward practices across regions and in line with local regulations, tax laws, and internal audit requirements
- Establish and maintain global reward policies, frameworks, and governance standards
- Ensure effective execution of annual reward cycles, including salary reviews, bonus plans, and long-term incentives
- Provide expert guidance on executive compensation, benchmarking, and market competitiveness
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience in reward operations
- Lead change management efforts related to reward transformation and system implementations
- Develop communication strategies to support employee understanding and engagement with reward programs
- Partner with HRIS and IT teams to implement and optimize reward-related systems and tools
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior HR and business leaders on all reward-related matters
- Collaborate with regional HR teams to ensure local relevance and adoption of global reward strategies
- Master’s degree or MBA (preferred)
- Professional certification in compensation (e.g., CCP) or HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, CIPD) is highly desirable
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3–5 years in a global or regional leadership role
- Proven experience in harmonization, standardisation and transformation of reward programs across geographies and business units
- Post-merger or acquisition experience desirable
- Strong background in total rewards execution, including executive compensation and incentive design
- Experience in change management, systems implementation, and stakeholder engagement
- Industry experience in manufacturing, industrial, or packaging sectors is preferred
- High level of financial literacy, data analysis and modelling skills
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills in a global context required.
- Skilled at simplifying complex concepts and inputs into compelling proposals and narratives.
